Parents are struggling.
That was true when we started this mission forty-two years ago. It’s true today.
When we launched Gracebased, parents were hungry for a trusted, biblical approach to raising their children.
Unfortunately, what they often found were resources motivated by fear or behavior modification. Ultimately, these messages were a far cry from the heart of God, leaving parents disappointed.
Our founder, Dr. Tim Kimmel, experienced this first hand. While serving as a youth pastor, he met struggling kids and parents – families that loved God, but weren’t thriving.
He knew that God had to offer a better way and began our ministry with a simple yet powerful question –
“Since God is a parent, how would he parent?”
Throughout the pages of Scripture, we discovered God’s blueprint for parenting, a pathway based on grace.
